I began training with Kenneth Scott in 2006. I was overweight, out of shape and my blood pressure was through the roof. We went over my medical history and my goals. Kenny was so professional and thorough and began a workout regiment to fit my needs and my crazy travel schedule. I have been training with Kenny for over 5 years. He has helped me through many health and fitness challenges. When I first started training with Kenny, I wanted to improve my fitness and get help with chronic shoulder pain that I had been dealing with for several years. After 6 months of strength training and stretching, I was in great shape and my shoulder pain was gone! For the first time in many years, I was motivated to return to the gym on a regular basis. Each week was a new challenge and results were evident. Fast forward a few years to a lower back injury - Kenny modified all of my exercises and developed new stretches to allow my back to heal while continuing to maintain fitness. Finally in 2010, I found out I was expecting my first child. I had no idea what to expect in the gym, but I was relieved to find out Kenny did! The moment I told Kenny I was expecting, he took extra care to teach me a few things. I had no idea that pregnant women are supposed to monitor their heart rate during exercise. Kenny immediately taught me how and incorporated regular checks into my work outs. I figured I would continue to train for a few months and then retire from the gym until after delivery. Wrong! I was able to continue training until about 10 days before! I thought I would walk and stretch but did not think I would continue to weight train and do abdominal exercises. That is exactly what I did all the way through my pregnancy! I credit the experienced training from Kenny that kept me in the gym and helped ensure a smooth delivery. Did I mention that 9 months later I have dropped all the pregnancy weight and am now juggling a new fitness challenge – making time for mom and getting to the gym! Kenny has definitely given to the cause – entertaining my daughter in the bouncy seat while counting my reps!
